Report: Postecoglou makes ‘realistic’ transfer demand to the Spurs hierarchy

ESPN have revealed that Ange Postecoglou has asked Tottenham Hotspur to make at least three new signings this summer ahead of his second season in charge.

Tottenham’s weaknesses were exposed during their poor end to the campaign, with there now being clear evidence that the Lilywhites still have some to go in order to compete with the best sides in the Premier League.

That is why this summer is expected to be crucial one for the North London side as Postecoglou continues to put his own imprint on the Tottenham squad.

Postecoglou wants three new Tottenham signings

ESPN say that the Tottenham head coach ‘is realistic about the scale of change’ that can be achieved in just one transfer window.

However, since Spurs have a degree of headroom within the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, it is explained that the Australian has asked the club’s hierarchy to make at least three top additions this summer.

The report reveals that a new striker and a central midfielder are among Postecoglou’s requests, with Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher both being considered by the club.

Spurs Web Opinion

I think Tottenham will add a minimum of four top players to their squad, potentially even five. I am convinced that a number eight, a number six, a wide-forward and a full-back will be signed while it is clear that Spurs are also looking at the centre-back and centre-forward options in the market.
