Report: PSG have offered 27-year-old to Tottenham this summer

HITC reveal that Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler has been offered to Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the summer transfer window.

Soler, who can operate as a number eight and in a deeper role in midfield, has failed to live up to expectations since swapping Valencia for the French capital two years ago.

The 27-year-old has struggled for game time this season and it has emerged that PSG are expected to cash in on him and a number of other players this summer as they plan to revamp the squad.

HITC claim that the Parisians have offered the player to Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City ahead of the transfer window.

Aston Villa are keen on Carlos Soler

The report says that while it is unclear if any of those three clubs would make a move for Soler, Villa are quite keen on securing his services, having already opened talks with PSG.

The report says that Unai Emery is a big fan of the Spain international and his versatility, with the Midlands club believing that they can win the race after securing Champions League football.

While the midfielder is also alleged to be of interest to Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig, it is the Villans who are thought to be at the front of the queue for his signature at the moment.

Spurs Web Opinion

There is no doubt that Tottenham will enter the market for a number eight this summer but it seems like the club are prioritising moves for homegrown options such as Conor Gallagher, Morgan Gibbs-White, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Adam Wharton.
