AC Milan see Tottenham defender as a realistic target this summer – Journalist
Relevo journalist Matteo Moretto has said that AC Milan are of the belief that they can secure Emerson Royal from Tottenham this summer.
It has been widely reported that Emerson is one of the players expected to leave Tottenham as part of a mass exodus next summer as Ange Postecoglou continues to put his imprint on the squad.
In fact, Football Insider claimed last week that the Brazilian’s representatives have already begun looking for a new club for their client ahead of the summer transfer window.
A few days ago, Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luca Bianchin revealed that Milan are keen on signing a right-back this summer and had set their sights on the Tottenham man.

This has now been backed up by Moretto, who revealed that signing a new right-back is one of the Rossoneri’s priorities this summer and that they are now ready to push ahead with a move for the former Real Betis star.
The journalist says Spurs value Emerson at a little over €20m (£17m), with Milan said to view the deal as an ‘accessible operation’.
Moretto adds that the Serie A club have followed the Tottenham defender for ‘several months’ and even sought information about his availability during last summer’s transfer window.

Emerson would do well in Italy where he will get a little more time on the ball. Despite all the criticism that the 25-year-old has got at Spurs, he has shown that he is a very competent right-back when he has had a run of starts under his belt.
