0 2

Queen’s Park Women had a day filled with celebrations on Sunday as the ScottishPower WPL2 Trophy was presented to the Champions at New Tinto Park. Shortly after, players, staff and their friends and family attended The city Stadium for the end of season Player of the Year Awards.

Spirits were high as Queen’s Park FC Foundation Chief Executive Chris Priestly commenced proceedings by congratulating the players and staff on their fantastic season.

After a break for food, the formal proceedings got underway. First, Head Coach Iain Ferrie presented John McNeil  and Ian Cairns with signed footballs as a mark of appreciation for their contribution to the season.

Shortly after, the first award was presented to Ellie Kane for 23/24 Top Goalscorer. Ellie has found the net an incredible 30 times this season in 31 games, and is on course to scoop up the SWPL2 Top Scorer award.
