Man Utd ready to sell world-class star to Saudi clubs, would like an early transfer - report

0 0

Saudi Pro League clubs are pushing to sign Manchester United midfielder Casemiro this summer, according to The Telegraph.

The Brazil international has had a tough second season with the Red Devils and he was recently excluded from his country’s squad for the Copa America.

Casemiro has been linked with a possible move to the Middle East for some time and The Telegraph claim that multiple Saudi clubs are interested in him.

United are prepared to sell the 32-year-old and would like any deal agreed at the start of the transfer window. However, they will not push him out.

There is also huge interest in club captain Bruno Fernandes, but a deal is far less likely.

United preparing to part ways with Casemiro

Casemiro has built his reputation as a world-class player over the years.

He had a brilliant debut campaign with United where he impressed with his offensive and defensive contributions. However, he has regressed during his second season.

The Brazilian has looked short of pace and has been outrun by opposition midfielders. He has also been guilty of being out of position while he has been dispossessed regularly.

United clearly need a fresh face at the heart of the midfield. They are eyeing an ambitious move for Benfica wonderkid Joao Neves, who could cost more than €100 million.

In our opinion, the club should look to recoup some of the funds with Casemiro’s exit. A fee in the region of €30-35m would be helpful in balancing their books in advance.

Fernandes has also been linked with a move to Saudi, but United are unlikely to entertain a deal for him. He has been their best player this term with 26 goal contributions.
