Report: Fresh injury blow for Tottenham as 27-year-old’s season is cut short

The Athletic have revealed that Richarlison has picked up a calf injury which is expected to rule him out of the rest of the season as well as this summer’s Cope America.

Richarlison has already had multiple injury lay-offs this season and only returned to action against Liverpool last week, coming on as a substitute to find the back of the net.

However, the striker’s hopes of finishing the season strongly with Spurs have now been dashed after it emerged that he has picked up a calf injury.

Richarlison out injured – Set to miss the Copa America

The news was first made public by Brazil coach Dorival Junior, who explained the 27-year-old’s absence from the Selecao squad for this summer’s Cope America by revealing that he had sustained a major injury that would keep him out of the tournament (Alasdair Gold).

This has now been confirmed by The Athletic and other outlets, who suggested that the former Everton man’s season is now over after his latest injury setback.
