Spurs may sell first-team player after just one season at the club – Journalist

Transfer insider Graeme Bailey has said that Manor Solomon does not have a big future at Tottenham and that the winger could even be sold by the club this summer.

Solomon’s first season at Tottenham has been nothing short of disastrous for the wide man, who has not featured since suffering a meniscus injury back in August of last year.

The 24-year-old, who is yet to score his first goal for the Lilywhites, has endured a torrid time, suffering multiple set-backs in his recovery and he even took Instagram back in March to admit that this has been ‘the most difficult and frustrating’ time of his career.

Postecoglou’s men will be hoping that Solomon has put his injury issues behind him and prove a useful option for next season as the Lilywhites look to compete on multiple fronts.

Manor Solomon could be sold by Spurs this summer

A couple of weeks ago, The Athletic’s Jack Pitt-Brooke told The View From The Lane podcast that Tottenham would be open to selling the Isreal international in the long term.

Bailey has now said that Spurs could even decide to move Solomon on this summer, just a year on from his arrival at N17.

He told The Spurs News about the former Shakhtar Donetsk man: “It hasn’t quite worked out for him. He was always a risk but he was on a free transfer so that’s a decent profit on the profit and sustainability spreadsheet if Tottenham sell Manor Solomon.

“I think he could move on. I think Solomon is one of those where Tottenham aren’t actively pushing him out of the door, but I think he’s one that other teams will be looking at as an option. He doesn’t have a massive future at Tottenham, from what I’m hearing.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I would be quite surprised if Tottenham sold Solomon this summer, considering that the winger was a Postecoglou signing and has not been given a chance to prove himself yet. I do expect the 24-year-old to get a few opportunities next season, potentially in the Europa League.
