Five Articles To Look Out For In HQ!
Here’s five articles that Hibernian FC supporters shouldn’t miss in the latest edition of HQ!
1) Gordon Family’s Commitment
Following the investment from the Black Knight Football Club, HQ sat down with Kit and Ian Gordon to discuss the future of Hibernian FC.
“Our commitment has no end. It is something that Ron was so passionate about, and we are here to continue his legacy. Hibs meant the world to him, and he was incredibly passionate about the Club. He spoke of his desire to bring in a minority investor and we are fulfilling his wishes.”
2) Martin Boyle’s return to international football
During the in-depth interview with HQ Magazine, Boyle opened up on some of the highs and lows of his international career so far and how he overcame some major set-backs in his career.
“The injury before the Qatar World Cup wasn’t twice as bad – it was definitely worse. I went through a really bad stage in my life that I haven’t really opened up about.
“I was struggling badly but I probably hid it quite well because I am quite chirpy around the place. But I wasn’t in a good place, I wasn’t myself and my wife took the brunt of that – but she supported me and I spoke to a few people to get me through it.”
3) One of the finest footballers to grace Easter Road
“At his peak George Best was undoubtedly one of the finest footballers of his, or any other generation.”
He made his home debut in a 2-1 win against Partick Thistle in front of 20,622 fans at Easter Road, almost four times the expected attendance. George’s every touch was greeted with applause.

5) A sit down with Steven Whittaker
Hibernian FC supporters fondly remember our Golden Generation and Steven Whittaker was a huge part of that. HQ took a trip down memory lane discussing Steven’s career and his development at Hibs.
“Bobby gave me my opportunity and I have a lot to thank him for. He had no qualms putting the youngsters in and believed that if you were good enough, then you were old enough.”
