‘My brother’ – Johnson, Maddison, Van de Ven and others react to Udogie’s injury

Destiny Udogie has got plenty of love from his Tottenham teammates on social media after he confirmed that his season has ended following a surgery to his left quadriceps.

Udogie has been one of Tottenham’s most consistent performers this season and has seamlessly settled into the Premier League and Ange Postecoglou’s system.

The left-back has shown incredible maturity for someone who is just 21 years of age and has only a couple of seasons of senior football under his belt.

The Italian would have been hoping to end the season strongly but unfortunately, it emerged over the weekend that he had to go under the knife after suffering a quadricep injury, which is expected to keep him out of action until the start of pre-season.

Udogie took to Instagram to thank everyone for the support he received during his first year at the North London club and many of his teammates responded with messages of encouragement.

Brennan Johnson responded with “My brother”, Manor Solomon wrote: “Speedy recovery brother” while Pape Matar Sarr wrote: “Stay strong brother”.

Bryan Gil, Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Dane Scarlett, Guglielmo Vicario and Giovani Lo Celso also showed some love to the former Udinese man.

The response of the players shows the kind of family atmosphere that exists at Tottenham and just how loved Udogie is by his teammates. Hopefully, the 21-year-old can come back physically and mentally refreshed at the start of next season and take his game to the next level.
