Welfare contacts and resources

00

As a club, Royal Wootton Bassett Town acknowledges its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of every child and young person who has been entrusted to its care and is committed to working to provide a safe environment for all members.

To that end, the club adheres to rigorous welfare and safeguarding rules – among them that all adults regularly caring for, supervising, training or being in sole charge of children and young people are required to complete an enhanced DBS check and be in possession of an FA Safeguarding qualification.

We firmly believe in the positive influence that football can have and wish for all members to feel confident and safe to report any concerns that they might have.

To that end, we would like to remind members to contact either Head of Youth Section Mari Green (mari.green@rwbtfc.co.uk; 07712 581384) or Secretary Ian Thomas (ian.thomas@rwbtfc.co.uk; 07714 718122), both of whom serve as Welfare Officers for the club, if they have any concerns or require advice about safeguarding matters.

All communications about safeguarding and welfare matters will be dealt with confidentially and with the utmost sensitivity.

It is also possible to contact the Wiltshire FA's Designated Safeguarding Officers via email (maria.lai@wiltshirefa.com; blair.keltie@wiltshirefa.com; safeguarding@wiltshirefa.com) or telephone (07340 272564).
