Another name that has been talked about, Erik ten Hag
It has been reported that the club have received a boost in our reputed chase for Erik ten Hag. It seems that Eintracht Frankfurt have pulled out of the race for the Ajax boss. As you all know, our first choice Julian Nagelsmann has agreed to take charge of Bayern Munich at the end of the season, and Jesse Marsch is said to have turned down a chance to join Spurs in favour of a move to RB Leipzig. So, as we’ve seen two hopefuls probably scared off by Daniel Levy’s iron-fist control, we have turned to other candidates, such as Ajax coach Ten Hag, who is thought to be one of the top men on Levy’s list.
The 51-year-old is reported to want to leave Ajax but has also been linked with a move to Eintracht Frankfurt, who are on the hunt for a replacement for Borussia Monchengladbach bound Adi Hutter. It is all a bit like that comedy Soap that was on many years ago. According to German daily Bild, the Bundesliga club have now pulled out of the race for Ten Hag as they believe he is too expensive, handing Spurs a boost in their chase for the Dutchman. If they think he is too costly, that must rattle Levy’s cage.
If you believe the press – and why not – Levy has scheduled a meeting with Ten Hag.
Even though Eintracht Frankfurt have pulled out of the chase for the Ajax manager, Wolfsburg coach Oliver Glasner, who is also on Spurs’ list, remains a candidate for the German outfit.
In this merry go round of Levy’s list of managers, it will remain a circus until Levy manages to pin the tail on the donkey and get his victim. But, in the meantime, it keeps everybody amused and pens firmly clenched in fists.
As names pop up, fans will agree, disagree and probably write thousands of words in the process in this black comedy of Levy’s managerial game of Thrones.
I just hope that whoever is picked stands up to Levy and is a solid and experienced manager. The post Another name that has been talked about, Erik ten Hag first appeared on SpursNetwork | Tottenham Hotspur News & Fansite.
