Three tidbits from Football Twitter show just how impressive Liverpool were on Monday.

We’ve been treated to a lot of very good football since one Jürgen Norbert Klopp took over at Anfield but the display at Anfield against Arsenal was one of the most complete performances. The Arsenal players constantly looked like they were surrounded by sharks as they tried to play their way out of the back, only for the Liverpool press to constantly interrupt them.

Just how good were they though?

I knew we played well but that’s really hard to fathom, to be honest. Also, that passing stat? This was done… without Henderson or Thiago. This also marked the first time Naby Keita made five consecutive league starts. He misplaced only one of his 40 passes, with only three of them played in the defensive third. We’re really starting to see him leave his mark on the team’s playing style now so… *knocks on wood*

And while he didn’t score, Mohamed Salah continues to show off more of that all-around game, and his chance-creation has really stood out. The man has looked electric since the start of the season, and he looks hungry for goals, whether he’s scoring them or not. We doth not protest. Let Mo cook.

Lots of chatter online was about how Arsenal continued to try to pass the ball out from the back despite the Liverpudlian press operating at full power on Monday. Just how much pressure does Liverpool put on the other team?

A lot. The pressure cooker Arsenal were swimming in? Totally real. And the soups produced in there are delicious.

As always, drink it in, folks!
