Man Utd boss Solskjaer responds to Scholes: He can see what we're doing

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists they won't change their plans after the club's worst start since 1992.

Solskjaer remains adamant he is on the right track even if he admitted thoughts of a title challenge were already beyond his team.

He opted against a counter argument to Paul Scholes' recent assessment that United will have to 'write off' two years to get back into contention at the top.

Paul knows what it is to be a Man United player and looking at the difference between us and City and Liverpool last year, you don't expect us to challenge straight away," he said on Friday.

But he can see things are going in the right direction and we feel we're on the right track.

There's always pressure when you're here. Of course, I'm confident in what we're doing. We've got a plan, and the performances haven't told me that we need to change direction.

Results, that's a different matter. We can control how we play, how we practice and how we prepare.

I can say four in six chances against us in the last three games (have been scored), so they're games we should have won.

Whenever we lose a game we've lost one game since July 1st - it sounds like we're really struggling, but that's just the way it is at Man United and you have to handle it."
