Additional Transfer Moves Prior to Roster Freeze

The loss of the Paolo Hurtado transfer left me with the sense of having come up just short in the 2018 summer transfer window (this is not to say that I don't love Ruidiaz - I do - or that I'm not pleased - albeit still confused - about Smith - I am - but I was super excited about Hurtado and felt robbed in almost a Derlis Gonzalaz-esque fashion). With the roster freeze coming September 14, there is still a month+ left to try and get the last piece to bolster Playoff Surge 3.0. As I understand it, such a move would likely be limited to out-of-contract MLSers, such as the oft discussed Kelyn Rowe. Are there any updated thoughts about the likelihood of a move before the freeze and the most likely target to be acquired? Jack2132 provided a lovely assessment of potentials from the eastern conference back on July 1 and I'd be keen to see an updated assessment.
