I don't think what he said was naive at all.

Jones probably had this in the chamber, hoping they'd win. Probably practiced it in front of the mirror.

Truth is, if we didn't let that ball bounce, for all their effort Charlton would've walked away with a point. Unable to hit the proverbial barn door.

He's got big problems this season.
