At Derby, apparently, he was paying people out of his own money to play. And he nearly kept them up.

This is not true. Red 32 were paying WR 80,000 per week and he put his hand in his pocket to cover some hotel bills and travel expenses for a few away games.

I wish him all the best at Plymouth and I think he will just about keep them up.
