Lucky generals

When Napoleon Bonaparte was called lucky for winning battles, he apparently replied "I'd rather have lucky generals than good ones.”

Say what you like about Southgate, and I've said a lot this week, you have to admit he's a 'lucky general.' We've been massively lucky on the draw for the Euros again.

If he can just land on the right team / formation, he could, conceivably, go down in history as the best manager we've ever had - by results if not ability.
