GBBlueIt hasn't worked has it? In close season you tend to rose tint everything and hope that Deeney will turn back the years, become super fit, injury free and maybe play his last competitive season banging goals with regularity like it is 2019 again.
I am not sure that is going to happen personally and maybe an exit is best for all concerned if we can free his wages up for a younger, rawer, pacier striker.
Not Deeneys wages that are a problem at the club tbf. Id much prefer it be Dean, Hogan , Juke or Etheridge buying out their ridiculous contracts.
