I suspect not going to be popular on here (heh-ho , I don't care ) but I'm going for the fantastic debut album (although it didn't start shifting units by the millions until the following year) that is
Guns N' Roses 'Appetite For Destruction'
Other considerations were
Black (and the wonderful) 'Wonderful Life'
Midnight Oil 'Diesel and Dust'
Aztec Camera 'Love'
and Alexander O'Neal 'Hearsay' (which would have been without doubt a nil pointer here) - for a bit of variety. I recall seeing him twice at Wembley Arena, in must have been 1987/88.
