I agree that our players need to question the refs more. I think we have (generally) honest players who sometimes suffer from that honesty. For instance, Hogan should have had a penalty yesterday, but he tried his hardest to stay on his feet. That’s a testimony to his sense of fair play, well done him.
Unfortunately, the poor standard of refereeing in this country means that Hogan was penalised for that. Had he gone down, I think he would have won the penalty. I didn’t see much reaction from our players. So the ref probably thought it was an uncontentious decision.
