The Blues are desperate for a striker as Antonio Conte seeks competition for misfiring summer signing Alvaro Morata.

They’ve been linked with a number of forwards, including Peter Crouch, Andy Carroll and Christian Benteke, while a move for Edin Dzeko is reportedly close to completion.

But according to the Mirror, France international Giroud is the latest target man on Chelsea’s wishlist.

The 31-year-old has struggled for game time this season following the signing of Alexandre Lacazette and he is currently recovering from a hamstring injury.
