Fond du Lac Blades in Austria – Day 1 & 2

Part 1

Coming off of almost two years away from the international stage, It’s surreal to be back representing Team USA. We arrived on Monday, feeling strong and ready to polish our programs before we compete this Friday and Saturday. 

Throughout the season, our team has grown stronger with conversations between new and returning junior skaters. For eleven skaters this will be their first international, for seven it is their second, and for two it will be their third. Our confidence heading into this competition is high because of our team’s close friendships and ability to come together to reach our goals.

Part 2

Going to practice in Austria was very different from our usual drive to Fond Du Lac, WI. Seeing the beautiful mountains and picture-perfect towns made our trip feel like less of a far-away dream and more of a reality after the uncertainty of this season. 

We are so grateful for the opportunity and so excited to perform our programs on an international stage here in Salzburg!
