2020 Dr. Porter Classic Wrap-Up (Best Of Elements)

In recognition of the restrictions placed on teams due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Dr. Porter Classic included a “Best Of Element” event in which teams could submit one or two standalone elements for competition. For IJS level teams, the elements they could enter in included the traveling wheel, pivoting block, synchronized spin, no hold element, and twizzle element. For 6.0 teams (snowplow sam and synchro skills), they had the option to enter in the following elements: linear block, rotating wheel, and rotating circle.
In synchro skills 1 as well as synchro skills 2, Hockettes earned gold with their rotating circle and linear block elements. For synchro skills 3, Matrix took gold in the traveling circle element; the team also earned gold for the rotating circle in the snowplow sam category. Matrix finished their trifecta by earning gold in the preliminary division no hold element.
