It’s Membership Renewal Time
Our 2019-20 season is coming to a close and it is time to renew your membership.
But, first, the Board of Directors would like all of our members to know how very proud we are of our skating community and to congratulate all of our skaters on their accomplishments. We know this season is ending on an unusual and challenging note, but until that point in March it was a season that offered each skater the opportunity to master skills and add new elements, pass new test levels, create programs, and participate in competitions. Even without being at the rinks, we have found ways to work on our skating elements as well as staying in touch with and supporting each other.
For 2020-21, things will be different as we continue to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. What was normal will need to be adapted in order to do our best to continue to observe the health and safety requirements of our communities. As the rinks work on their reopening plans, please continue to be patient and respectful to those who are working hard to provide
us with our skating environment as well as to your fellow skaters. The Club is regularly evaluating the situation and will plan for activities we generally offer, such as testing and competitions, as soon as we determine that they can be safely implemented.
All current memberships expire on June 30, 2020, so please renew for the new season as soon as possible. Based on the challenges we have been and continue to face in our sport, we have reduced the membership fees for our Junior and Adult skating membership categories for this season [note: categories such as Coach, Official, and Associate are already discounted memberships with nearly 90% of those fees going directly to U.S. Figure Skating registration]. We are willing to work with any member who needs help paying for their membership due to the impacts of Covid-19.
St. Moritz is a small business and we too have been impacted by all the changes this season. When you complete your membership renewal, if it is within your means please consider donating to the Club or our skater support fund.
Thank you!
