Katie Yum 

“I think one of my biggest accomplishments in my skating career would be passing my senior moves in the field and free skate test and advancing to sectionals during my novice and junior free skate season. For now, I am planning on majoring in biochemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder! I hope that moving on, we can all truly appreciate little moments we took for granted and live life to the absolute fullest when given the chance!!”

Paige Tack

“I am a double gold medalist. After graduation, I plan to attend University of Denver where I will continue to skate on their collegiate team. I would like to tell younger skaters to enjoy this time, the good and the bad, whether it’s easy or hard, because it’s over before you know it. “

Reese Gautsche

“My biggest accomplishment in my skating career is passing my senior free skate and senior moves. I’ve competed in 10 regional championships and was a Sectionals Alternate when I was a Senior Lady. I’m very proud that I was a 2x winner of the Scott Hamilton Award for Outstanding Achievement with the Colorado Skating Club. Julie Morris has been my coach from start to finish
I’m graduating from Smoky Hill High School in the International Baccalaureate Program. I was a member of Student Government, NHS, NEHS, DECA, and was captain of my cross country team. I will be attending the University of Colorado Boulder in the Leeds Business School and plan on double majoring in finance and accounting.
Figure skating has taught me to finish things from start to finish. Whether that be programs or testing, I’ve always been determined to push to the finish with all I’ve got. I look forward to hitting the ice with Katie Yum at Boulder!!”

Madison Powell

I am incredibly grateful for everything figure skating has given me the past 10 years. It’s taught me some of the most important life lessons such as perseverance and the importance of getting up! I know these are life lessons that will stick with me throughout my life. I have also loved the opportunities I have had to be involved in the club through junior board and junior judging at Cup of Colorado. This fall I will be attending the University of Washington in Seattle to study health sciences. I hope to become a nurse or physician assistant!
