TOURNAMENT RULES 2017

The Officers of the Dawlish Ladies Hockey Club with the Captains of the competing teams.

Matches
- Teams will play each other once.
- Games will be 10 minutes each way. Immediate change round at half time. If a penalty corner/stroke is in progress at half/full time then time is prolonged to allow completion.
- POINTS: 5 for a win. 3 for a draw. 0 for a loss.
In the event of a tie on points then the final placing shall be decided as follows:
(a) Goal difference
(b) The team having scored the greater goals
(c) The result of the match between the two teams
(d) If all of these are equal then it will be decided by the Tournament Committee.
All games to be played to current FIH Hockey Rules
Programme
The Captains of the teams will meet and toss a coin for choice of ends before the start. The first named team will provide the match ball, the second named team to change if there is a clash of colours. Apart from the first match the timings are approximate so please ensure you are ready when the preceding match is completed. Any team not ready or not there at the time will forfeit the game with a score of 5 points to the opponents.
Umpires
Each team will be responsible for providing an umpire to officiate matches as detailed on the Order of Play Schedule in the first instance. The Umpire Manager may provide a revised schedule prior to the start of the tournament.
The umpires are responsible in ensuring that the score is marked appropriately on the scoreboard. In addition, the umpires are responsible for the timing of the matches
General
Any points arising from or not covered by the foregoing will be dealt with by the Tournament Committee whose decision will be final.
