2020 Junior Girls – Kwik Sticks – SCHOOL YEAR 7&8 – Player Registrations Now Open
We are now inviting registrations for the Year 7/8 Kwik Sticks grade.
Kwik Sticks has both an 11 a-side and a 6 a-side format.
6 a-side is suited for players who are new the game, or players still developing their skills and understanding, where they get more touches on the ball. 11 a-side is suited for players who have played before and feel confident moving to a bigger field and learning more game concepts.
11 a-side is trialed as we aim to select teams who are of similar ability, for maximum enjoyment and development
Players need to arrive 30 Minutes prior for sign in, warm-up and team allocations. Players that are late may miss their match allocation. Selectors will do there best to manage this but cannot guarantee it. Please come prepared for all weather, including sunblock, warm tops, protective clothing, and your mouth guard and water bottle.
Goal Keepers – please indicate on the form if you require equipment. The girl’s session will be split into two groups after session one, and group lists will be posted on our junior Facebook page and website, and be emailed to you. It is important you provide us with correct contact information for all persons responsible for the attendance of your child.
It is expected players attend all sessions. Should you have to cancel for unforeseen reasons, please email us as soon as possible prior to the session so we can account for your child.
A reminder there is a 6 aside to 11 aside transition session on Sunday 1st March from 10-11:30am at Nunweek for boys and girls coming out of Kiwi sticks grades to help understand 11 aside positions and game concepts ahead of the trials. The registration link is below
Thanks, everyone. We look forward to welcoming you all back for another fantastic season.
