Lee Kiefer and Gerek Meinhardt Clinic and Vet Tournament Weekend Reminders!
Over the weekend, Olivia McKinney and Isabella Lee took part in a fencing clinic with Olympians Lee Kiefer and Gerek Meinhardt. They also had an opportunity for a question and answer, meet and greet, and seeing their Olympic medals!

Reminders for Parents Competing This Weekend
We have a number of parents braving a Veteran’s Tournament (Born 1986 and Earlier) this weekend! We have fencers competing in the Vet Men’s Foil, Vet Men’s Epee, and Vet Women’s Epee. They’ve been on a crash course this past few weeks to get ready for their first tournament after watching their kids compete this past few years. Wish them luck!
Participating parent reminders:
- We’ll provide all the fencing equipment.
- You will need long socks (long enough to cover up to your knees)
- You will be wearing fencing knickers, be prepared to change in to fencing pants (we will provide).
- Make sure you wear shoes you’ll be comfortable fencing in. Running shoes is fine.
- Bring things you like to snack on and drink.
- It’s not a whole day of fencing, but if you are prone to cramping like I am, I always have bananas.
- Bring a change of clothes (depending on what you want to drive home in).
- If you haven’t yet, make sure you get your USA Fencing Membership (Access membership is sufficient https://member.usafencing.org/login)
Schedule (I would try to arrive at least 45 minutes early to check in and put on the equipment that you need):
- Vet Men’s Foil: Saturday, October 25, 2025, 10AM
- Vet Men’s Epee: Sunday, October 26, 2025, 10AM
- Vet Women’s Epee: Sunday, October 26, 2025, 1PM
