Wilmington and Charlotte
I’ve mentioned it to some of our new families and fencers, especially those that have been doing homeschool team events, but I highly encourage taking a look at participating in the Wilmington Tournament on Saturday, February 8, 2025. It is where many of our fencers go as their first away tournament (Lily’s first big sanctioned tournament was there!)
The tournament sign up is largely unrated, so it’s a good beginner one to go to.
The deadline to register is February 2, 2025. After that is triple fees. There is also a cap of 28 fencers. There are currently 23 fencers.. I recommend if you’re event thinking about going to go ahead and register before they hit their max. You can always remove your name if you can’t go. You don’t have to pay the registration until the day of the event on site.

Junior Olympics
Charlotte, NC
Coach Gerhard will be going to Charlotte, NC to support Isaac Canady in his event at 8AM on Saturday, February 15, 2025. Junior Olympics will actually be occurring from February 14-17, 2025.
A national fencing event means that several equipment suppliers will be on site. I plan on purchasing several things we need for club. But if you need to purchase beginner equipment, uniform pieces, start purchasing competitive equipment, or adding or replacing any equipment…actually having a need to purchase ANY fencing equipment, being at a national event is the best place to do so. You can try things on and or try different types of weapons, shoes, etc.
These are the equipment suppliers that will be on site:
