Raleigh Results and Thanksgiving Schedule
Results are finally available on AskFRED for the Raleigh Pisacafe and Homeschool events, and it was a clean sweep! In the Middle School event, Seth Wilson took first, defeating teammate Paxxon in the semifinals who placed third. Paxxon previously defeated Seth in Greensboro in the quarter final rounds. Olivia McKinney also took first in the Elementary School event.
In points lists, Olivia McKinney holds a commanding lead as the top points leader. Paxxon holds on the top spot at 182 points, while Greensboro’s Braydon McKinney isn’t far behind with 162 points, while teammate Seth Wilson is also at his heels in fourth place with 140 points.
Team captain, Lily Kube, led her homeschool team to their first team victory of the year! She made some team order decisions that put the homeschool team (called The Dead Squirrels) on top. In the individual homeschool events, The Dead Squirrels, also swept the medals. Zion Facey took first, Isaac Canady took second, and Lily Kube took third.

Good Luck to Isaac Canady
Wish Isaac luck this weekend. Isaac will be fencing in two events, he will be attempting to qualify for the Junior Olympics in Charlotte at the Junior Olympic Qualifiers on Saturday. Then he will be be competing in a USA Fencing Regional event in Suwanee, GA at the PeachTree Battle. Isaac will be competing in the Junior Men’s Foil, currently at 29 fencers and a B2 rating.

No changes for Tuesday and Wednesday classes next week.

I may do an open fencing on the morning of Saturday, November 25, 2023 for anyone that wants to work off Thanksgiving dinner. I’ll announce if I do next week.
