Christmas Party, Holiday Schedule, and Weekend Results Recap

CHRISTMAS PARTY!

WEDNESDAY CLASSES
Remember, all fencers can come in on additional days for extra fencing! We’ll hopefully have new fencers joining the Wedneday class soon, but Tuesday fencers are welcome to join us on Wednesdays at 6PM for extra lessons and bouting!

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
December/Christmas Class Schedule
There will be no classes between the week of Christmas and New Years. We will do open fencing for all ages and weapons on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

TOURNAMENT RESULTS RECAP
Seth competed in a tournament at Forge Fencing Academy in Durham and took 1st Place! (Also, Seth was also recently awarded the 2021-2022 Youth of the Year from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church!)

Andrew Iford competed in all 3 events. He tied for 3rd place in the mixed foil, took 1st place in the Div III, and 11th place in the Mixed Epee.

In the Mixed Foil, Coach Gerhard took 11th, Gabe took 12th, and Isabelle took 14th.

In the Div III Foil, Isaac tied for 10th, Alexander took 15th (With an exciting elimination round where he won 15-14!), and Lily took 21st! Congrats to Alexander and Lily who competed in their first away tournament, that’s a big step! I’m sure they learned a lot and hope to see them at more away events!
