Updates and Tournaments!

The AAFA is growing! Did you know there is a knew youth class that meets on Thursday? Coach Gabe is leading a different class of kids. Now when we do a home event, you may not know all your fellow All-American Fencing Academy youth teammates!

Welcome back to school everyone! Congrats to all our seniors this year! Good luck on all your scholarship and college applications. If you would like a recommendation from me, let me know! If I remember correctly, Elinor, Lilly, Caleb, Reagan, and camp manager Grace are our seniors!

TOURNAMENTS:
Our next home tournament is on September 10, 2022. It is only a teen/adult tournament. It’s separate men’s and women’s events, so it’s a great starter event. We’ll also pick our women’s and men’s team captain for this season! (We didn’t do it last year.)

For our active competitors, Wilmington is hosting their first tournament of the season on September 24, 2022. There’s always a group of us that travels down to Wilmington. Register early, and let me know if you’re going so we have enough equipment for you to borrow!

YOUTH FENCERS!
We have our next youth home event in October and will begin the Pisacafe Circuit with other youth clubs in North Carolina. Remember, you earn points at every event you participate in. Go ahead and register early!

HOME SANCTIONED EVENT: THE HARRY RULNICK OPEN
We are hosting our annual sanctioned event, The Harry Rulnick Open. Everyone should have their USA Fencing Access Membership, which will make all eligible aged fencers qualified to compete at this event. This is always a larger event, and it’s AT HOME! Register early for this one! It’s also a great event to get your feet wet in a bigger tournament.
