On Strip/At Home Series: An Act In 3 Parts

0 7

We hope everyone is doing well!  I promised I’ll try to keep my e-mails short, so we’ll see how this goes.

First, I mentioned before that you can always do some practice footwork before or after your homework.  The Beginner Class Homework is a good one to use.  It can be found here: https://youtu.be/xfAgfq4UmIs

Just skip to the 4:30 mark to skip the explanations.  In the next video series, I’ll start to include footwork chains you can do.  I’m excited to share with you next week the next video.  I’m getting better at it.

My videos got a little long this time around, so I need to learn to break up my segments.  You’ll see that in next week’s series.  For this week, the training is broken up into three parts.

A little bit of preparation either before or after you watch the videos:

  1. Don’t have a weapon?  Use an alternative.  I recommend half a pool noodle (a family member can use the other half)
  2. Have a weapon?  Make a target.  Here are two great examples you can easily do:

  3. Find a family member to help you.  We are presenting things you can do on your own, we are also presenting things you can do with a partner.  So family members, you can watch these videos too to see how to help.

END OF CLASS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Absolute Fencing Gear has a special deal on a free glove when your purchase a mask.

This is a good starter mask:  https://www.absolutefencinggear.com/shopping/product_info.php/products_id/1147/cPath/

I’d also consider getting a weapon to practice at home. This is a good one to start with:  https://www.absolutefencinggear.com/shopping/product_info.php/products_id/175/cPath/24

Again, let me know if you have any questions, feel free to call or text me at any time at 910-644-0137 if you need help with training.
