National Armoury Workshop
The Canadian Fencing Federation will be offering an armoury workshop during the Senior Nationals in Richmond. The National Armoury workshop is for individuals who already have practical experience maintaining personal, club and competition equipment. The goal of the this clinic is to progress a technician to the role of armourer as a competition official.
SYNOPSIS
- Review repair procedures for:
- Fencers Equipment
- Club Equipment
- Heavy Equipment
- Rules for each weapon
- Rules pertinent to the competition
- Finding and solving problems on the strip
- Installation of a competition site
- Role of the armourer
- Testing and Competition Procedures
- Sanctions for infractions related to the equipment
- Practical exam and Written exam
The cost of the 3 day workshop is $150.00
Open to candidates 16 years of age or older.
Candidates with be required to supply their own tools and have read both the materials and technical portion of the current FIE Rules. Emphasis on the Materials section (m.1 to m.60) is highly suggested.
Other clinic materials will be provided prior to the event.
