Review: Toyota RAV4

0 20
Last September Toyota was the sixth largest company, judged by turnover. It began as a weaving loom maker 95 years ago. Its loom stopped when a thread snapped – saving production chaos and constant monitoring. A few years later Sakichi Toyoda sold the patent to Platt Brothers of Oldham for £100,000 and put the money into vehicle production, led by his son, Kilchiro. The company name was changed to Toyota, and so began the founding of one of the world’s greatest car brands.
