Theatre review: The Ruling Class, Pitlochry Festival Theatre
On this year’s Pitlochry tour of the British class system, we’ve already made one visit to the iconic setting that is the hall of a great English country house; and now we return there to experience Peter Barnes’s satirical masterpiece The Ruling Class, written in the revolutionary year of 1968, when the upper echelons of British society were experiencing a kind of invasion by the confident young voices of a new, more liberated and more egalitarian generation.
