JUMP START runners making headlines!

0

MissBehTwo of JUMP START’s richest runners competed on “Race for the Ribbon” evening, Sept. 20, at Charles Town. And both dominated their competition with sensational efforts!

The beautiful 3-year-old filly MISS BEHAVIOUR led at every call in the richest race of the night, the $500,000 Gr. 3 Charles Town Oaks, and won laughing over nine rivals by nine and three-quarters lengths going seven furlongs. It was the second graded stakes win, and fourth stakes win overall, for the filly bred in Pennsylvania by her owners Cal MacWilliam and Neil Teitelbaum. And the lucrative win pushed her earnings to $548,000 for the year, and $790,000 for her career. Trained by Phil Schoenthal, MISS BEHAVIOUR has a record of five wins, four seconds and a third from 11 lifetime starts.

About an hour earlier, JUMP START’s millionaire son PANTS ON FIRE drew off to take the $100,000 Wild and Wonderful S. by more than two lengths, and earned a sensational 106 Beyer Speed Figure! Bred by owner George and Lori Hall’s K & G Stables, 6-year-old PANTS ON FIRE has won at least one stakes each of the past four years and now has earnings of $1,327,635. The Kelly Breen trainee was a multiple graded winner at 3, in the Gr. 2 Louisiana Derby and Gr. 3 Pegasus Stakes; and again at 5 - the Gr. 2 Monmouth Cup S. and Gr. 3 Ack Ack H. In four starts this year, all stakes, he has never been worse than third.

Earlier on Saturday, JUMP START’s ultra-consistent 5-year-old daughter WILLET hit the board for the 17th time in 19 career starts when she finished third in the $300,000 Gr. 2 Gallant Bloom H. at Belmont at six and a half furlongs, and his 3-year-old son BUMP START finished third in the rapidly-run $300,000 Gr. 3 Gallant Bob S. at Parx Racing going six furlongs.

MISS BEHAVIOUR is JUMP START’s richest runner this year and fourth richest overall. PANTS ON FIRE is one of three millionaires for his sire, behind PRAYER FOR RELIEF ($1,907,938) and RAIL TRIP ($1,516,520). JUMP START is the sire of 42 stakes winners, 11 (26 percent) graded winners. His eight stakes winners this year include Gr. 1 winning miler LIVINGSTONE, and among his stakes competitors are Gr. 1 performers PRAYER FOR RELIEF (3rd Woodward S.-G1) and WILLET (3rd Ballerina S.-G1).
For graded action, look no further than JUMP START!
