PURPLE MARTINI (3.00 Redcar, nap)
She took a big step forward from her comeback run when second at Musselburgh last time. She might have won if she was closer to the pace. Ben Haslam’s filly finished off strongly and the extra furlong here should be right up her street.
FREDS MATE (5.06 Windsor, nb)
He had a decent winter on the all-weather with a win at Newcastle and close second at Southwell. He switches back to turf off the same handicap mark and is capable of better after just four runs. The booking of champion jockey William Buick takes the eye.
MANY A STAR (6.40 Windsor, treble)
Landed a couple of wins on the all-weather in spring and has gone close on both runs since getting back on the green stuff. He was beaten in a photo at Leicester before another solid effort at Goodwood. This better ground should help and he looks on a fair mark for the father and daughter Osborne team.
GALACTIC GLOW (8.10 Windsor, Lucky 15)
He has been knocking on the door at Bath which is another tricky track so he should cope with this challenge. He likes this trip and the better ground will help as his past three wins have all had ‘firm’ in the description.
