Information bulletins are now available for two European Aquatics events that will take place in June – the EA Junior Diving Championships in Budapest, and the EA Youth Artistic Swimming Championships in Luxembourg.

The Junior Diving Championships will be hosted from June 22 to 28 in the magnificent Duna Arena, built in 2017, which has since hosted the delayed European Aquatics Championships 2020 and the World Aquatics Championships in 2017 and 2022.

In his welcome message, EA President Antonio Silva describes the venue as “one of the world’s finest aquatic venues”, adding:

“I would like to warmly praise the Diving Federation of Hungary, led by Ildiko Kelemen-van de Konijnenburg, for their commitment to organising this event.

“Their impressive efforts once again demonstrate Hungary’s long-standing dedication to aquatic sports and its proven ability to deliver competitions of the highest standard.

“Hungary’s rich sporting tradition and passion for aquatics make it a truly fitting host for this Championship.”

In her message, Kelemen-van de Konijnenburg says:

“While we can look back on great traditions, today it is paramount to the development of our sport in our country to offer a taste of top-level age group performances.

“We are honoured, as earning the trust of European Aquatics to stage this great event means a lot for our organising team. We are committed to deliver a quality meet where we wish to meet all demands of all stakeholders – first and foremost, to create a perfect competing environment for the athletes.

“For the aquatic family, the Duna Arena is famous for its world class swimming pool, but those who are familiar with the complex may also note that the diving facilities are nothing short of the elite level.”

The deadline for preliminary entries and hotel reservations is April 1, and the final entry deadline falls on June 12.

The Local Organising Committee is offering full board accommodation packages for official participants at the 4-star Hotel Verdi Budapest Aquincum.

The Youth Artistic Swimming Championships are set to take place in Luxembourg City, the national capital, from June 4 to 7.

“It is a pleasure to return to a historic city which has played a strong role in the development of our sport in Europe and continues to host top level competitions each year,” EA President Silva says in his bulletin welcome.

“I would like to thank the President of the Luxembourg Swimming and Life-saving Federation Claude Waltzing for successfully bidding to host this event and leading an operational team who is determined to create the best possible environment.

“Once again, we are pleased to coordinate this championship alongside the COMEN Cup for Youth, further strengthening artistic swimming’s presence and inspiring the next generation of talent.”

Martine Hansen, Minister for Sports of Luxembourg, adds:

“Bringing together 250 to 300 young swimmers from more than 25 countries, this competition offers an exceptional showcase for the next generation of European talent and helps to increase the appeal of this discipline among younger generations.”

Preliminary entries are due in by March 17, with final hotel reservations having a deadline of April 23.

Travel details need to be finalised by May 18, and final sports entries are due in by May 25.

Aquatics Social Responsibility (ASR), European Aquatics (EA) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) are committed to delivering responsible and sustainable events in both Budapest and Luxembourg City, recognising the importance of environmental protection, water conservation and alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

In line with the European Aquatics Strategy, ASR principles and the EA Sustainable Chart, the event will aim to implement key sustainability actions, including sustainable mobility, efficient use of water and energy, waste reduction, elimination of single-use plastics and responsible food and beverage practices.

Athletes, teams, volunteers, and spectators will be actively engaged in sustainable behaviours, with monitoring and reporting ensuring transparency, accountability and continuous improvement
