Razorbacks Head to Des Moines for U.S. Open

Fayetteville, Ark. – The Arkansas swimming and diving team travels to Des Moines, Iowa for their second meet of the season competing in the 2020 Toyota U.S. Open at the Wellmark YMCA. This year due to the pandemic, the U.S. Open is taking place at nine different locations with teams from all across the country November 12-14.

The Razorbacks are coming off a solid season opener against the 20th ranked Missouri Tigers. Arkansas received good outings from Vanessa Herrmann, Brooke Schultz and Adela Vavrinova, who won two events apiece on the day. Peyton Palsha was the other winner of the day for the Razorbacks, winning the 1000-yard freestyle.

How to watch

Action will be broadcast daily on NBCSN and the Olympic Channel Friday and Saturday. Events on Friday will be aired 9-11 a.m. on NBCSN and later that evening on the Olympic Channel 5-8 p.m. Saturday’s events will air on the Olympic Channel from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Events will also be streamed on usaswimming.org.

Thursday: 800 Freestyle

Friday Morning: 400 Freestyle, 200 Individual Medley, 50 Freestyle

Friday Evening: 400 Individual Medley, 100 Butterfly, 200 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 100 Backstroke

Saturday: 1500 Freestyle, 200 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly
