Sophomore Andrea Adam was one of two Bees named to the 2019 Google Cloud NAIA Academic All-District At-Large Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). She was joined on the team by SAU women's tennis player Shannon McEachern.

The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.30 cumulative grade point averages. The at-large team includes student-athletes from the following sports: women's beach volleyball, women's bowling, women's crew/rowing, men's and women's fencing, women's field hockey, men's and women's golf, men's and women's gymnastics, men's and women's ice hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's rifle, men's and women's skiing, men's and women's swimming & diving, men's and women's tennis, men's volleyball, men's and women's water polo, and men's wrestling.

Adam and McEachern represent District 3, which includes NAIA colleges from Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Noth Dakota, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin. They now advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America At-Large ballot, where first- and second-team All-America honorees will be selected.

Adam, from Iowa City, Iowa, is the two-time reigning NAIA National Women's Diver of the Year. She is a four-time NAIA National Champion, winning the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in both 2018 and 2019, while also earning All-America honors as part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that took eighth at nationals this year. Adam is majoring in Exercise Science at St. Ambrose.
