0
The Royal Thai Navy paid tribute on July 11 its SEALs and other rescue workers who successfully rescued a youth soccer team and their coach from a flooded cave in Thailand’s Chiang Rai province. The Navy released new footage of emergency crews diving through the cave and carrying people out on stretchers. The 12 boys and their coach were rescued after becoming trapped in the cave on June 23. The final five victims were rescued on July 10, the Bangkok Post reported, after divers first reached them on July 2. One navy SEAL officer, Saman Gunan, died during the rescue operation on July 6.
