Why hasn't it been stamped out? It's still the biggest scourge on the game, and it's getting worse. Why isn't more being done about it?

It's embarrassing, this world cup. Honestly, you can see how it has filtered into the English leagues. It seems to be something the foreign players do naturally and of course, now it's part and parcel of the game, including the premiership.

You don't seem to see as much of it in the lower leagues at club level though. ( in my opinion ) For example I can't remember the last time I saw a blues player feign injury; going over lightly maybe, but all this business of diving on the floor like you've been shot is utter cringe-worthy and I can hear it in the world cup commentators voices that even they are struggling to put some of it into words due to the sheer silliness of it all. Grown men!?

Fabbrini used to do it on a weekly basis.

You make a decent point with Fabrinni...
But at the same time I (sort of) rest my case.

I am not saying it's all foreigners, but watching the world cup this year, it's obvious there is a real problem with feigning - and i'm not talking about hard tackles - i am talking about players going down holding their faces, after being tapped on the shoulder etc. Or a slight brush elbow and the player goes down for 5 minutes! (Ronaldo when he ran across that defender). It's embarrasssing.
You don't see that as much, in my opinion, in the championship. The lower leagues seem to just crack on with it. I guess in the prem there's a lot of money/big advantage to be had by winning a cheeky penalty or getting someone sent off.
