The Premier League side were ahead after just 88 seconds when Georginio Wijnaldum flicked on Philippe Coutinho’s corner and Firmino slotted the ball home at the back post.
Nolito and Wissam Ben Yedder came close to levelling matters for the hosts, only for Liverpool to double their advantage from another corner in almost a carbon copy of the opener.
Coutinho’s corner was headed on by Firmino and Mane’s diving header at the back post gave the away side a two-goal lead with just 22 minutes played.
Jurgen Klopp’s men appeared to be out of sight on the half hour mark as Firmino grabbed his second of the evening following a quick counter.
Mane’s shot was parried away by Sevilla keeper Sergio Rico but the ball fell into the path of Firmino for a simple tap-in.
