Okinawa-based Marine honored for heroism after harrowing water rescue
Marine 1st Lt. Aaron Cranford received the Navy and Marine Corps Medal — the Department of the Navy’s highest award for heroism outside of combat —for saving the lives of four people at a popular diving spot on Okinawa.
