Bicycle Safety Legislation Clears Senate Committee

We are very pleased to report that the Senate Judiciary Committee has voted in favor of our package of legislation at a hearing on September 20 in Lansing! The package of five Bills (SB 1029, 1030, 1076, 1077, and 1078) collectively will protect vulnerable roadway users, create clear standards for motorists to safely pass bicyclists, and improve driver’s education in Michigan to put a greater emphasis on bicycle safety.
