Bison Butte Trails Maintenance – Site Supervisor Opportunity!

We are looking for a hands-on, reliable Site Supervisor to help lead summer trail maintenance at Bison Butte’s multi-use trails.

  • Honorarium: $5000
  • Timeline: May – September
  • Time Commitment: Approximately 8-15 hours per week (Flexible schedule)

About the role:
You will oversee a small team of approximately six (6) summer staff (ages 15-29) and play a key role in keeping the trails safe, well-maintained, and enjoyable for the community.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and work alongside staff on-site.
  • Assign daily/weekly priorities and provide guidance and support.
  • Demonstrate proper use and care of maintenance tools (lawn mowers, trimmers, trail tools, etc.)
  • Ensure safe work practises are always followed.
  • Coordinate staff scheduling.
  • Submit payroll paperwork accurately and on time.

Support Provided:

You will be supported by Manitoba Cycling and the Bison Butte Trails Committee, who will help identify priorities and provide overall direction for the site.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Comfortable leading and mentoring youth staff
  • Organized and dependable
  • Enjoys working outdoors.
  • Basic knowledge of tools and maintenance equipment is an asset.
