Felix Boyle and Alex Goodwill were racing in Belgium last weekend, at GP Gavarent. A major event , the first of the Flanders regional series saw 90 riders race 10 laps of a tough 5.4km circuit.
Felix was in the thick of the action from the start and put in a strong attack after a few laps. This was brought back but then Felix and Alex followed up again midway through the race and created a break which went to the finish. Unfortunately Felix had to retire with cramp with just a couple laps to go. Alex won the race in a tight sprint finish.

Meanwhile in the UK at it was great to see Raphael Vasey-Holt and Jack Patten flying the PPYCC flag at the 2nd round of the National Youth Circuit Series – Youth Tour of Scotland. A very testing 3 day race with the best riders in UK competing.

Well done to all our riders.

Up next it’s back to track with the 2nd round of the National Youth Omnium series at Herne Hill and Bournemouth velodrome. Round 3 of the series is our own Preston Park Youth Omnium Sunday 10th May. Entries still open on British Cycling website .
