Important Update for Members – Insurance Support Program
Cycling Canada, in partnership with BFL Canada, is pleased to announce a national partnership supporting the delivery of a comprehensive Cycling Insurance and a Risk Management Program designed for cycling organizations, clubs, event organizers, and members across the country. This insurance program is designed for Cycling Canada and Participating Provincial & Territorial Association members and applies to activities and roles that are part of sanctioned cycling operations.
What this means for you:
- Your insurance coverage remains in place and there is no change to existing protections for sanctioned activities.
- This partnership enhances how insurance and risk management are supported behind the scenes, with a broker experienced in sport-specific insurance.
What’s Included:
The program continues to include coverage for:
- Commercial General Liability protection during sanctioned events and activities.
- Personal Sports Accident coverage during sanctioned events and activities In addition, members and affiliated organizations continue to have access to optional and supplemental policies, including:
- Directors & Officers (D&O) liability insurance for affiliated clubs and governing bodies.
- 24/7 Anytime on a Bike personal accident insurance for members
- Trail Maintenance activity coverage for affiliated clubs Coverage applies when participating in approved and sanctioned activities confirmed through your provincial or territorial association.
