Nineteen Volunteers Brave the Rain for Trail Maintenance at Rocky Point
Even an atmospheric river couldn’t stop the stoke. On October 26, nineteen dedicated volunteers showed up at Rocky Point to take on much-needed maintenance work on Wind Up, one of the system’s most popular trails.
The crew focused on raking, trimming trees, and addressing a few problematic drainage spots and corners. Despite the wet weather, everyone powered through to make Wind Up more sustainable for the heavy traffic it sees throughout the year.
This work was an important step toward improving trail durability and rider experience, especially heading into the rainy season. More digs are planned when the ground is less saturated to continue work on corners, drainage, and additional benching.
Huge thanks to everyone who braved the storm and came out to lend a hand. Your time and effort keep Rocky Point running strong for the entire community.
